Review | Giorgio Armani Maestro Glow

Giorgio Armani Maestro Glow Foundation

Giorgio Armani Maestro Glow Nourishing Fusion Makeup (1 oz/$64.00) I was so excited when Armani launched this product. The Armani Luminous Silk is my star foundation; it’s a favorite along with the YSL Touche Éclat Le Teint. I normally don’t experiment when it comes to foundation. I’m a believer in sticking with what works. Luminous Silk has amazing coverage, a beautiful finish, and it’s long lasting. It’s truly an exceptional foundation. However, when I heard Armani was bringing out a foundation that was geared towards dry skin, had skincare benefits, and SPF30 I was sold. I immediately purchased it.

According to Armani Beauty this is the first bi-phase makeup elixir. True skincare oils infused with pure pigments for nourishing comfort and lasting glow. These oils make the texture comfortable, easy to apply, and nourishing for women with drier skin. They weren’t kidding. This is the most comfortable foundation I’ve ever used, it’s gorgeous!

The coverage is quite sheer. It’s more like a tinted moisturizer or BB Cream. You can build it up, but I prefer to use single layer and spot conceal as needed. I love that it’s skin-like and breathable. However, if you prefer a heavier coverage, have oily skin or sensitive to fragrance this is may not be for you. Maestro glow wears beautifully throughout the day. It doesn’t settle into my lines or look cakey. It’s just my skin but better. On long days when I need more coverage I just mix it with my Luminous Silk foundation and I’m set.

In term of the packaging. I do wish it came with pump, but I don’t mind the pipette. The bottle can get a little messy, but you can still control the amount of product that’s dispense. I like to apply it with my fingers or the Zoeva 110 Face Shape Brush. It has a thin liquid consistency, and you have to shake the bottle before use.

My new Light As Air

Giorgio Armani Maestro Glow Foundation

I had déjà vu moment with this foundation. For years I’ve been on the hunt for a foundation similar to Jemma Kidd Light As Air. Light As Air was the only foundation I used until it was discontinued. I cherished every last drop and kept the tube. Don’t mind me, I’m hopelessly sentimental. Those of you that loved Light As Air would adore the Armani Maestro Glow.

Like the Light as Air foundation, Maestro Glow has a light weight consistency and a long-lasting radiant finish that looks beautiful on the skin. I’ve been using it for a few months now and I really love it. I do wish it had a bit more coverage but overall it’s an absolute winner for me!
