Limited Edition Makeup: A Few Of My Faves

Oh I wish I knew how to quit you! Dior Skin Shimmer in Amber Diamond, I know I’m not alone here. This is the mother of all highlighters. It’s simply stunning and makes for gorgeous eye shadows too. I’ve used Amber Diamond so much and still haven’t hit pan, it’s like the never ending product. The powder is so finely milled it creates the most beautiful, natural sheen, still haven’t found anything like it. Dior, what are you waiting for? Please bring Amber Diamond back!

Jemma Kidd Make Up Dewy Glow All Over Radiance Crème in Iced Gold. Thank you Tanya Burr for introducing this product to me five years ago, long before the whole highlighter craze. As a matter of fact Tanya Burr also introduced Amber Diamond to me. I love you Tanya! After testing out so many highlighters; including the infamous Becca x Jaclyn Hill Champagne Pop and I still prefer this one. I actually stocked up on it when I heard they were being discontinued. Of course the logical thing would be to move on and find another highlighter but I adore this product. The finish is beautiful and hydrating, it’s been very hard to find a replacement but Champagne Pop now comes in a cream version, I’ve decided to give it a go. Fingers Crossed.

Another favorite from Jemma Kidd is the Light as Air Liquid Foundation. This was my absolute favorite foundation. There’s good news; I think I found a good replacement. Stay Tuned. Oh how I miss you Jemma Kidd Makeup School. #Throwback

MAC Mighty Aphrodite Blush Duo from the Wonder Woman Collection. This is a warm peachy coral with gold pearl and bright coral pink with gold pearl. I never understood why the bright coral portion is so small compared to the light one but I just mix them together. Lately I’ve been using the Charlotte Tilbury swirl and pop technique with this. I love this in the summer; it gives the most beautiful peachy glow and to this day it’s still one of my favorite blushes.

To be honest I haven’t been into MAC Limited Edition Collections lately, Trolls Collection? Why? Mainly because it can be frustrating; falling in love with a makeup item you can’t have again but sometimes it’s worth it. Some of the items I’m going to mention have been re-promoted and hopefully they will be again in the future; these are definitely worth a try. MAC I Get No Kick Eye Kohl, I really wish MAC would make this permanent. I Get No Kick is a beautiful Champagne color, hence the name. I use it to brighten my inner corners and define the arch of my brow, it’s also safe on the waterline. The best dupe for it is the Urban Decay’s 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Midnight Cowboy. Also Benefit just came out with their High Brow Glow Pencil. It’s very similar; can’t wait to try it out.

MAC Paint Pots in Nubile and Artifact. If you have Painterly Paint Pot you don’t need Nubile. Personally I prefer Nubile because I find the finish to be much smoother and the color is peachier where as Painterly is much more pink in tone. Artifact is an awesome burgundy shade but you can easily find a similar color to this anywhere. Try the Maybelline Color Tattoo Eyeshadow in Pomegranate Punk. And finally MAC Dark Diversion Fluidline, this is a deep burgundy color. It’s absolutely gorgeous and awesome for the winter months. You green-eyed girls would love this.

What are some for your favorite limited edition items? Any products you wish would make a comeback?
