Top 5 | Single Eyeshadow

Hello everyone! Today I have another Top 5 favorites for you. We’re covering single eyeshadows. I find that I use my individual shadows more than my palettes. You don’t need three or four shadows to create a beautiful look. Whether you’re skilled at doing makeup or just a beginner, one shadow is all you need. Here are my top picks!

Pink Heather

Burberry Eye Colour Cream in Pink Heather No. 106

Burberry Eye Colour Cream in Pink Heather No. 106

Burberry Eye Colour Cream in Pink Heather No. 106 is an old favorite. I will say the formula is a bit peculiar. It’s not the easiest to work with. It works best when used with a dense eyeshadow brush like the Real Techniques Deluxe Crease brush. Once it’s on the eyes, it looks absolutely gorgeous.

The name is describes it perfectly. It’s pink, but not too pink. Even if you’re not a fan of pink eyeshadow, this shade will change your mind. There’s a little hint of brown in there, similar to MAC’s Satin Taupe with a pink hue. You can get an incredible smokey eye with this shadow that is still work-appropriate. Nice and long-lasting too!

Imagine

RMS Cream Eye Polish Imagine

RMS Cream Eye Polish Imagine

I adore the RMS cream shadow formula; their Cream Eye Polish in Imagine is a stunning shade of violet purple. If you have brown eyes you have to give it a try. I fell for this shadow simply because of the color. Little did I know that it doubles up as an eye cream. I have dry skin, so I’m down for any product that’s moisturizing and nourishing. It’s also free from nasty chemicals.

The RMS cream polishes can be quite sheer, although the color pay off from this particular shade is impressive. I simply apply it with my fingers; no eye primer needed, it’s so quick and easy.

Golden Peach

If I had to recommend only one of these five shadows, it would be Tom Ford Cream and Powder Eye Color in Golden Peach. You might say that I’m cheating; there are two shadows here. True, but I only use the cream shadow, not the gold topper. Don’t get me wrong, it’s nice to have two shadows in one. The gold topper is pretty; unfortunately, it has fall out. So I only use it occasionally on nights out. The peachy cream shadow, however, is utter perfection.

It’s definitely the shadow I reach for the most. I’m obsessed with the color; it’s bright yet perfect for every day. It looks gorgeous on the eyes and reflects the light beautifully. It’s one of those shadows that give a dramatic look with minimal effort. It’s super quick and easy to apply and blend. It just goes without saying, Tom Ford is so luxe and the quality is amazing.

Woodwinked

MAC Woodwinked

MAC Woodwinked

Out of all the five shadows, MAC Woodwinked is the one I’ve had and used the longest. I’ve gone through so many Woodwinkeds throughout the years it’s ridiculous. When I don’t know what shadow to put my eyes I always go for this. It’s a warm metallic brown that reflects gold; it’s so stunning.

I just throw it on with a brown eyeliner like MAC Coffee, and I’m out the door. If you’re looking for individual eye shadows, there’s no place like MAC. They have every shade and finish under the sun.

Desert Rouge

Chanel Ombre Première Desert Rouge (36)

Finally, the Chanel Ombre Première Longwear Powder Eyeshadow in 36 Desert Rouge. This shadow is very well loved by me. I’ve raved about it a few times on my blog. Red can be a little intimidating for some, but there’s something so special about Desert Rouge, this color is bold yet sophisticated. You don’t need a transition shade because it blends so nicely.

I always receive compliments when I wear it. And I think the reason it’s so eye-catching is that it looks complex when in actuality you used one shadow, and it only took a minute. This shadow is on the pricey side. For me, it was well worth it.

So, what are your favorite eyeshadows? Any recommendations?

Thank you!! Woodwinked was one of my first too! There’s nothing like MAC Shadows. I still remember my very first MAC purchase, MAC is responsible for my makeup addiction for sure. Let me know if you get the RMS; I would love to know your thoughts. Heart U! Xx
