Playing With New Makeup

Recently I’ve been playing with new makeup, and I want to share them with you. I’ve been on a no-buy for a few months now; it’s been refreshing to focus on my stash, and not feel the need to run out and buy new products. However, I took advantage of the sales and got some amazing beauty bits.

Guerlain L'Essentiel Natural Glow Foundation

I’m completely devoted to the Guerlain L’Essentiel Natural Glow Foundation (1 oz/$60.00). It was a gift by my friend Chanelle; she’s a fellow beauty junkie with incredible taste. I love this foundation so much. The name says it all; it gives you a natural glow with a good amount of coverage. It’s not cakey or heavy; it smooths over any texture on the skin beautifully. This formula does wonderful things for my dry skin. It also has SPF 20. If you like to know more about this foundation, please check out my full review here.

Cosmic

I purchased a few lippies that were on my wishlist. The first is the Hourglass Unreal Volumizing High Shine Lip Gloss in Cosmic (0.20 oz/$30.00). I can’t describe how beautiful this gloss is. You need to see it on your lips to see the full effect. It’s fuchsia with pink shimmer. So gorgeous and festive for this season. I love the formula of these lip glosses; they feel amazing on the lips and make them look fuller. It’s super glossy but not sticky, and it stays on for hours, which is rare for a lip gloss.

Dark Stone

Clarins x The Kooples Lip Comfort Oil in Dark Stone

My current makeup love is the Clarins x The Kooples Lip Comfort Oil in Dark Stone (0.1 oz/$26.00). Sadly, this is a limited edition, but I believe it’s available on the Clarins website at the moment. If you ever been curious about the Lip Comfort Oils, I highly recommend you pick this up. It looks deceiving in the tube, but on the lips, it’s a stunning bitten berry shade.

It’s ultra-shiny and feels lovely on the lips. If you’re familiar with my blog, you know I talk about the Clarins lip oils a lot. They’re one of my favorite makeup items ever; I have them in a multitude of colors because I can’t get enough of them. Clarins, please make Dark Stone permanent! #prayerhandsemoji

More Luminous Silk

  Armani Luminous Silk Hydrating Primer

I purchased the Armani Luminous Silk Hydrating Primer (1 oz/$42.00) during the Sephora sale. I was curious about this product because I’m such a fan of the Luminous Silk Foundation. It’s been my favorite foundation for years, so I had to give the primer a try. It’s infused with shea butter, rice bran, and glycerin to instantly hydrate the skin, making it plump and smooth.

My skin feels so soft after I apply it, and it works beautifully under every foundation I own. It’s lightweight and absorbs quickly. It feels like I put nothing on, yet my skin looks radiant, and any imperfections are blurred. I’m not big on primers, but this one is impressive. And I adore the sleek packaging.

Flesh

I needed the Flesh Swipe Flesh Lip Color Compact in Jiggly (0.12 oz/$24.00) when I saw Katie Jane Hughes use it on her Instagram stories. Yes, whatever Katie Jane uses I need in my life. It’s a pretty dusty rose shade that goes with any makeup look. Currently living in my makeup bag since I bought it.

It’s easy and fuss-free, I dab some on my lips, and I’m off. The compact is really handy because it comes with a mirror. And I’m not sure if you’re supposed to, but I like to use it on my cheeks as a blush as well.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Gel

Finally, the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Gel (0.155 oz/$18.00) in Dark Brown is my new love. I ran out of my Milk Kush Fiber Gel and decided to give it a try. My brows are difficult to tame, and this puts my hairs in place without making them hard or crispy. It deposits the right amount of color and gives my brows volume. I wouldn’t expect less from Anastasia Beverly Hills.
